When is the Refinement?
Some of the wise will stumble, so that they may be refined, purified and made spotless until the time of the end, for it will still come at the appointed time (NIV Da. 11:23).
The refinement of the saints will lead to some becoming rejected and receiving the mark of the beast, but is it true that “you cannot get the mark of the beast until the beast [antichrist] arrives?” This is incorrect. Some will be refined, that is to say their faith tested with some stumbling and others falling, which is until “the time of the end.” This will occur until Jesus returns, and seems to have been occurring in Daniel’s time. Understand that Satan’s army cannot emerge overnight for the Battle of Armageddon as a majority that causes the world to have to choose between worshiping the beast or death. It is hardly wise to assume the devil only gives a mark at the end of times. Satan’s army has been organized since falling from heaven. This secret mark is the devil and his angels daily endeavor.
Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ (NIV Php. 1:27).
